We have ate here twice as a group (7-9 of us) never been dissatisfied in any way. The food is always freshly prepared and really well presented. (Even the lad who likes it Fal hot give it 5/5) Cold beers as well, that’s just as important !!

Would not recommend this place. Never managed to get served food. Was asked to leave when the owner found out that two people were sharing meals claiming that we were scamming him by not spending £15 per head. Appalling customer service. Very rude. Ruined my evening.

Based on a single take away experience this is a great local Indian take away.

Awful service. Rude staff particularly the management. I felt targeted as a younger person and do not recommend to any students. I was asked my age and then told there was a £15 minimum only after our order had been completed. I am appalled and offended and hope I can warn people off of this nasty establishment.

One of the best Indian takeaways in Newcastle. Chefs special Zal Zul is brilliant. Also the thali is well worth a try.

Have been here numerous number of times and still, wanna keep going. The food tastes delicious and ambiance is very warm and cozy. This is a true fine dine Indian restaurant.

We went here on Saturday night. We asked for draft cobra and received bottle, which is more expensive. The place was freezing although the heating was on. Our meals arrived warm not hot and my husband meal arrived in a white bowl, 3 mins after mine and not on a hot plate. None of them were sizzling hot.Portions sizes were very small.Asked for the bill but waited that long, we had to get up for it in the end. Very disappointed as this cost £50 and don't have that kind of money to just waste.Will not be going again. Service very slow.

Shocking service by manager when ordering food and consistently throughout the night. Our large party were sworn at and had menu’s thrown on the floor when this manager realised a few customers would like to share meals. He then aggressively proposed all customers would have to pay £15 per head, something which wasn’t specified prior to the meal. The general service could’ve potentially ruined a 21st birthday, would not recommend.

Friendly service, and authentic food. The biriyani was a highlight. Reasonable prices.

Ordered my food 1 hour ago to be told on the app after 1 hour that it was cancelled, called the restaurant to be told that it is Because they don’t deliver to my area. But order was accepted. Would now not recommended to anyone. Shame when they are new to the food apps.

Really lovely food. 3 of us all enjoyed our dishes and the house wine was great too. Service was A1. Lovely Korma dishes. Don't know why other people have dated this lower. I regularly eat in Indian restaurants in Leicester and Rusholme and this is on a par with the good Indoam restaurants.

Teeth-melting, tastebud-destroying, hot without taste. (And no, I am not IndIan but married into an Indian family with amazing cooks). This was vile. The second time we've eaten in Jesmond and it was way too hot even though we chose medium style dishes. The service was pretty poor too. Do these places survive because students are too drunk to notice the taste? ( And yes, I've been a student ). This was like stepping back in time when people just thought the test of an Indian dish w as how many chillies weRe used. TRULY POOR.

Came here with my Dad a couple of months who is disabled and came to visit me from London, they were fantastic and the food was great would recommend. Will be back.

The food here is amazing, and the service is equally great. Only had takeaway but it's never disappointed and become a favourite. Would reccomed to anyone, especially their vegetarian dishes.

Visiting this gem every week and all I can say is the best restaurant I been so far. Quality delish food and great service . I recommend them highly.

Good food and really friendly helpful staff. We arrived late but they didn’t rush us at all and kept the restaurant open for us - very much appreciated.

Me and my family have been dining here for years and always find that the food and service is exceptional. One of the most authentic Indian curry houses in Newcastle, we know we can always rely on this place to offer consistently amazing food and the staff are really knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Great atmosphere too!

Great service, great food!

Have had takeaways from here before and ordered food via Just eat. But have disappointed this evening when my starter didn't arrive with the order. Contacted the restaurant and they were not very apologetic and was going to take at least 40 minutes for it to arrive. When we ask for our money back was just told it would come off our next bill. Very disappointing to what is normally a lovely meal.

Rude and dont provide a payment over the phone.

Disappointed with meal... maybe wrong choice of main course Anokha chicken...really poorly cooked, layered in cornflour. Lacked in flavour and heat...clearly not cooked through enough. Can't fault their service though - 2 helpful waiters and served quick and didn't wait long for food. Price of meal didn't match quality that I've had before (many years ago) at Komal

Worst indians we have ever had in a long time. Food was not seasoned,bland and stale Nann breads. Dahl did not taste of anything. takeaway was ordered and delivered when we realised item had been forgotten we rang and spoke to Ali who was extremely rude and unapologetic and told us if we wanted it sooner then 45mins to an hour then to come and collect it ourselves. He did not care and said report him if we want. extremely disappointed in both food and serve quality will not use Komal again there is a lot of good quality Indians around that serve fresh flavoursome food.

Best Indian takeaway by far. Fresh ingredients cooked beautifully. We rarely use anywhere else.

Consistently the best Indian food in Newcastle. Great value, very good service but foremost is the quality of the food.
